Somerset Co., PA (WJAC) — Authorities in Somerset County say five animals were killed in a house fire Friday morning in Boswell.
911 officials say crews from Cambria and Somerset counties were dispatched to the blaze, located along the 300 block of Allegheny Street, just before 9 a.m.
According to Boswell Deputy Fire Chief Michael Sopich, the home suffered extensive damage.
Officials say the residents were not home at the time and a state police fire marshal has been called in to investigate.
Authorities also noted that one firefighter was transported from the scene.
Officials say the blaze also damaged two neighboring homes.
