Cambria Co., PA (WJAC) — State police in Cambria County say a Nicktown man is facing charges after he allegedly sent a sexually explicit image to members of a "concerned citizens group" who were posing as a teenage girl.
Troopers say in March, police were contacted by the group, who reportedly "targets the predation of juveniles," and stated that they had been in communication with a man from Barr Township.
Police say the man, later identified as 25-year-old Nathan Bender, believed that he was messaging a 15-year-old girl.
According to the affidavit, troopers say Bender allegedly sent an "unsolicited nude photograph" to the "teen."
Police say Bender also later confessed to communicating with the "teen" and admitted that he wanted to "meet with her" to engage in "sexual intercourse."
According to online court records, Bender was arraigned Friday on one felony count of disseminating sexually explicit material to a minor and was released on unsecured bail.
