Season 3 of Call of Duty: Warzone 2 is here. Naturally, this latest season has added a lot of new content to the game, such as a new faction and a bunch of new missions for players to undertake. Unfortunately, it has also seen a number of issues crop up as well. One of the most perplexing, not to mention – bothersome – problems is the DMZ Field Upgrade Bug. As its name suggests, this bug results in the DMZ Field Upgrade not spawning on your character. Consequently, you are left with no Field Upgrade equipped at the start of the mission. We don’t need to tell you how bad this can be, especially for missions that require you to use an item that you can take as a FU. But what is causing this bug and is there a way to fix it? Read on to find out!

So, why is this bug happening in the first place? Well, it started popping up after the latest update. As such, this definitely means that it is something that was unintentionally introduced on the devs’ side. The biggest problem with going into the DMZ with a Field Upgrade empty slot is that several missions require you to have an item that you otherwise could have taken along in the FU spot. Instead, as is the case with the Zero Tolerance mission and the Tactical Camera there, you have to find this item somewhere on the map. Of course, there’s no guarantee that you will be able to do so, which only further adds to the problem.

Since the bug has been introduced by the devs, it’s very likely that only they can resolve it. The good news is that they are definitely aware of this issue, and are no doubt diligently working on fixing it. Hopefully, a hotfix is coming soon to remove the DMZ Field Upgrade Bug.
